Good luck in starting construction! Samarkand International College holds groundbreaking ceremony
On March 6, 2025, the construction of Samarkand International College officially started! Wang Xiaoyou, the founding principal of Samarkand International College, the head of Ishtihan District and other important guests witnessed this historic moment.
The construction work this time mainly focuses on the renovation, renovation and expansion of the first campus. After completion, the school conditions and campus environment have been comprehensively improved. Sufficient teaching rooms and activity venues, modern campus design, advanced teaching equipment… provide students with good learning conditions and ensure that various educational and teaching activities are better carried out.
On the basis of continuing to use the architectural style of the old campus, the historical context of the campus is maintained and the Chinese and Ukrainian cultural characteristics are integrated, so that “every wall speaks and every landscape conveys emotion.”
Second Campus (New Campus)
The Samarkand International College in Uzbekistan is the first university established by Chinese in Uzbekistan. It is a multi-disciplinary, regional and comprehensive university. Its history can be traced back to 1970. Its predecessor was the Samarkand Vocational and Technical College and the Institute of Animal Husbandry Medicine. In September 2024, Uzbekistan issued a presidential decree approving the establishment of the Samarkand International College, making it the first undergraduate international university approved by the president of Uzbekistan.
